We all love Will Smith and we adore bicycles, so it's safe to say that this is pretty much the best race in Philly all winter. Just meet at the Dog Bowl (43rd& Chester) at 2pm and party hard through the night.

FEATURED ARTICLE: Bicycle Messengers of Tokyo, Japan
By Eli Chessen
Portraits by Yohei Morita
I had a chance to read through Cog's second issue a few days ago and was completely blown away by the photo journalism and in depth story telling articles. Being the first magazine of its kind with amazing photographs by one of the cycling community's most loved photographers Yohei Morita, i'd say it would be a wise investment.

I'm so glad I don't ride in Long Beach.
"girls should stick to townies"
In Philly, girls win at foot-down, and they ride with the boys just fine.
Could you boys ride through some real traffic? or keep up with messengers? fuck this - i'm high, bored, and homesick.
Love,
Nerissa

I don't even know where to start. Its a beautiful color-way and a fairly nice build with suitable components. Yet, I still cant find the heart to like it. Maybe because OBEY is taking advantage of their grand opportunity to profit off of a growing "trendy" like popularity circulating the track world. Maybe because they decided to mix Fuji Japanese frames with Miche Italian cranks and English saddles or maybe, just maybe because of its well marketed advertising ploy set out to ruin a culture. Well not exactly ruin. Those who ride should remember that this culture was based on riding, regardless of what it was. Contradicting myself, I just realized that I shouldn't bother knocking OBEY's efforts to get hip kids riding ... but its too late. So in conclusion, if you bought it, ride it. If you haven't revaluate your reasons.

So - there's a video project being thrown together as we speak [or you read, w/e] about fixed riders around the country. But that's it - a video project, not a documentary, not a film, just raw video footage. I think this is pretty swell.
Bootleg Sessions will not be a "film." It will be a down and dirty DVD compilation of cuts from several of our favorite riders from around the U.S. who have agreed to bootleg their daily sessions, progressions, and general post-transportation tomfoolery. It is not meant to be ground-breaking, life-changing, trend-setting, or scene-defining. It's just fun. Ride/Relax.

Mixed opinions have been circling the oh so talented Keo of the up and coming Cadence film documentary. I dont really have an opinion just yet. I've always been about the riding myself. I dont know, i might be jealous, but i dont know.
Im heading back to LA in two weeks, so if anyone is down to ride ... let me know.
DEVERA aka dynamite? who knows ...

DESCIPTION:
Critical Mass is a monthly bicycle ride to celebrate cycling and to assert cyclists' right to the road.
The idea started in San Francisco in September 1992 and quickly spread to cities all over the world.
Critical Mass has a different flavor from city to city -- there's a big variety in size, respect of traffic laws (or lack thereof), interaction with motorists, and intervention by police. So if you want to know more about Critical Mass, you'll really need to find out what your local ride is like.
Critical Mass has no leaders, and no central organization licenses rides. In every city that has a CM ride, some locals simply picked a date, time, and location for the ride and publicized it, and thus the ride was born.
CM is an idea and an event, not an organization.
Some CM riders try to tie up traffic as much as possible and be otherwise confrontational with motorists. Such riders are missing the point about Critical Mass. CM is a celebration of cycling, not a war against motorists. CM is about asserting our right to the road, not denying others their right to the road. Those who want to play juvenile games are encouraged to stay at home instead.

ive never seen so many fixies in one place before. if i had to write a review it would probably consist of 40's, budd, & an entertaining film. FREE FREE FREE .. yeah, both showings were free and if you had boosties then you would have gotten the deep v's & tires being thrown into the crowd. pretty fun night at the Victoria Theatre.
excuse the quality, the only camera i had on me was my Holga.

hats off to everyone involved with MASH.
