Michael Moore's "Sicko"

We need Single-Payer Health Care!
Michael Moore’s is a genius. His latest film SiCKO makes a brilliant case for why we need a national, single-payer health care system in the United States. Moore reveals the horrors of our current profit-driven “non-health, non-care, non-system” and compares/contrasts it to societies like France, Britain, Canada, and even Cuba, that take far better care of the health of their populations than the US does, with far, far less expenditures. But everyone knows that the multi-billion-dollar health
insurance and drug companies exposed in SiCKO have a lot of power and influence with the government.
Are we powerless to change the system? People who want to do something about the health care crisis need to figure out what kind of action holds the best potential for breaking the power of these mega-corporations.
I noticed that people are scared of their government in the U.S.
but in other countries, the government is scared of the people.
Think about that.

yo tristan, just wanted to say that this is a great post particularly the last part that says in other countries, the government is scared of the people. i don't think we've fully realized our potential in what we can actually do the government... but it's a scary thought to rebel against the government because it would eventually lead to chaos.
thanks mench. i appreciate it your realization. people are scared, dont care or uninformed. U.S. people are lazy and we could be progressing a lot faster. If it wasnt for people who cared, it wouldnt be so easy for people living now days. So people automatically take their lives for granted.
